Solderless torque sensor

Manner Sensortelemetrie GmbH: This telemetric torsion sensor measures the torque on rotating shafts. A new development is that the full bridge strain gauge, measurement amplifier and induced supply voltage are combined in a flexible substrate.
Installation couldn't be simpler with no soldering required as the sensor is glued to the shaft body, therefore no electronic or soldering skills are required for installation.
As a result the cost for torque monitoring of drives is lower and makes it an attractive choice for mass production in particular. It delivers the technical advantages of strain gauge technology for low-cost and production applications.
