Ultra Low NETD 16x16 Pixel Infrared Array
Heimann Sensor recently introduce a new wafer-level vacuum-package technology, that allows to achieve ultra-low NETD of below 35 mK on a 16x16 pixel thermopile array. This increase in sensitivity allows to achieve much better resolution and accuracy which is beneficial for many applications like distance fever thermometers, industrial temperature monitoring and increased accuracy person detection.
The new technology is available for 16x16 arrays with three different viewing angles of 17°, 45° and 90°. Due to the new manufacturing method, this ultra-low NETD devices are available at an affordable rate that is almost the same as the Xenon package type, but with an NETD that is almost 5 times better.
