Ultrasonic Sensor with Analog and Switching Output
Turck's “Standard” line of RU ultrasonic sensors reduces the range of variants required by the customer
Mülheim, March 29, 2017 – Besides the “High-End” line, Turck's “Standard” line of RU ultrasonic sensors are now also available with an analog output. As well as the analog output, the new sensor also offers a special switching output, with a switching range that always follows the set measuring range limits of the analog output. Customers who occasionally only require one ultrasonic sensor with a switching output can thus effectively reduce the number of device variants to be kept in stock.
The sensor is factory set for an output signal of 0…10 V or 4…20 mA over the entire measuring range. The measuring range can be set individually via a teach adapter or the controller. This also enables the switch point to be defined individually when it is used as a switch. Previously, the medium “Standard” line was only available with two switching outputs.
In all Turck offers 12 device variants: M18 housings with a range of 40 or 130 cm with an angled or straight sensor head, as well as M30 devices with a range of 300 or 600 cm. All variants are available with a voltage and current output.
