Ultrasonic sensors detect pallets

SNT Sensortechnik AG: Pallets are loaded in automated systems, packaged and taken to the dispatch. In this example they are charged with construction panels. The pallets are supported on rollers. Their position has to be detected properly in front of the respective work stations. Here ultrasonic proximity sensors of the UPX series are successfully used. They are insensitive to contamination and detect virtually all types of materials, regardless of color and surface.
