nano ultrasonic sensors: now with IO-Link competence
Dortmund, October 2023 – The nano sensors in the M12 housing are now equipped with a Push-Pull switching output. They have an IO-Link interface in version 1.1 and support Smart Sensor Profile. In addition to the measured distance values, the IO-Link interface also transmits identification, status and diagnostic values. Two measuring ranges are available, 250 mm and 350 mm.
nano ultrasonic sensors detect any type of object without contact, whether it is solid, liquid, powder or transparent. The trend in ultrasonic sensors is towards miniaturisation. Users expect maximum performance in the minimal installation space. With an overall length of only 55 mm including the connector, this M12 ultrasonic sensor is the shortest on the market. The compact design of the nano is an advantage in tight mounting conditions. At the same time, the housing design is compatible with numerous inductive and capacitive sensors. This makes it easier to switch to ultrasonic sensors in critical applications.
